Recently, Liu Hongning, Dean of the Advanced Research Institute of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (JXUTCM), former Party Secretary of JXUTCM, chief professor and Qihuang Scholar, led the Jiangxi Provincial Expert Group for Comprehensive Reform of Traditional Chinese Medicine to conduct on-site research at the Anxin Shibawan Wild Ecological Anoectochilus Planting Base of Jiangxi Linyao Ecological Agriculture.
The expert group toured the under-forest planting areas of the base, and gained an in-depth understanding of the base’s wild ecological cultivation system, R&D of cold-resistant snow-type Anoectochilus, organic farming management, and full-process quality control. They focused on inspecting the natural bamboo forest growing environment, the use of locally sourced biological organic fertilizers, and the base’s strict zero-additive policy for chemical fertilizers, pesticides and hormones.
During the visit, the expert group fully recognized the base’s commitment to original ecological under-forest planting, and highly praised the technological breakthrough of the cold-resistant snow-type Anoectochilus variety — an innovation that markedly elevates the content of core active ingredients including kinsenoside, total flavonoids and polysaccharides. The group noted that the base’s planting model aligns with the development standards of genuine regional medicinal herbs, and sets a positive demonstration for advancing the high-quality development of the under-forest TCM industry and boosting rural revitalization through characteristic industries.
As a National Under-forest Economy Demonstration Unit, Anxin Shibawan Anoectochilus holds official Organic Certification and Selenium-rich Certification, with key medicinal indicators outperforming domestic counterparts. This expert research provides professional guidance for the base to further deepen industry-university-research cooperation, refine planting technologies and upgrade product quality. Moving forward, the company will continue to focus on high-quality Anoectochilus raw material production, and deliver safe, traceable, high-efficacy herbal ingredient solutions to global partners.
